This policy explains what information Engineering Support UK collects when you use PPM Maintenance Tracker, how we use it, and your rights. We keep this short because we genuinely collect very little.
Who we are
Engineering Support UK is the sole trader operating PPM Maintenance Tracker at maintenancetracker.uk. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect and why
When you buy a license
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (our Merchant of Record). Paddle collects your name, email address, and payment details. We receive your email address so we can deliver your license key and send you important product updates. We do not see or store your card number.
When you contact us
If you email us at [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use this only to respond to you.
When you visit the website
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use this website (pages visited, traffic sources, session duration). Google Analytics sets cookies and sends anonymised usage data to Google. No personally identifiable information is included. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We do not use Meta Pixel or advertising networks. Our hosting provider (IONOS) may log standard server access logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for security purposes. These logs are not shared with third parties and are deleted after 30 days.
When you use the application
PPM Maintenance Tracker is a desktop application. All your maintenance data (work orders, equipment records, etc.) is stored locally on your machine in a SQLite database. We have no access to this data. It is never uploaded to our servers.
Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
- Contract performance — processing your email to deliver your license and provide support.
- Legitimate interests — server security logs to protect the website from abuse.
Who we share data with
We share your email address with Resend (transactional email delivery) solely to send you your license. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Paddle handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
How long we keep data
- License purchase records — 7 years (UK tax law requirement).
- Support email threads — deleted after 2 years of inactivity.
- Server access logs — 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can also object to processing or request a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The Paddle checkout overlay may set a session cookie while the payment window is open. This cookie expires when you close the checkout.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the product after changes constitutes acceptance.
